Craft-Bamboo Racing Partner with Disney•Pixar to Promote ‘Cars 3’ Movie Release in China

Craft-Bamboo Racing and Disney•Pixar will be partnering to promote the ‘Cars 3’ movie, which will debut in Chinese cinemas on August 25th. The team’s two Ligier JS P3s will retain their iconic ‘Cars 3’ liveries that were unveiled to incredible fanfare during the first round of the FRD LMP3 Series in Zhejiang. The #95 will continue to represent lead character ‘Lightning McQueen’, while the #20 continues to mimic the series’ newest protagonist, ‘Jackson Storm’. Disney has planned an extensive marketing activation campaign for the second round of the season at the Shanghai International Circuit; ensuring fans will get the chance to enjoy the full ‘Cars 3’ experience up close from the 27th to the 30th of July.

‘Cars 3’ will be operating an onsite fan booth, which will include a full size 1:1 replica of Lighting McQueen, giving all race fans the opportunity to connect with the beloved series’ main character. Motorsport fans from all around the world can also enjoy the two races via a live stream that will be made available by the series, so fans that can’t make it won’t miss out on any of the prototype sprint-racing action. With Craft-Bamboo Racing’s #95 ‘Lightning McQueen’ racer making a successful debut in Zhejiang, all eyes will be on the team to see if they can take ‘Cars 3’ to the top of the podium once again.

The FRD LMP3 Series is a brand new premier prototype series in China. Backed by the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO), the championship brings together the best drivers, teams and selection of LMP3 cars to compete over a four-round format at the best circuits in China.

Richard Coleman, CEO of Craft-Bamboo Racing

“I am very proud that Craft-Bamboo Racing is partnering with ‘Cars 3’ once again. The liveries of the #95 ‘Lightning McQueen’ and #20 ‘Jackson Storm’, proved to be a massive hit, successfully engaging with both fans of the movie and motorsport in general. We are even more excited to bring the two cars to Shanghai and share the joy of ‘Cars 3’ with as many people in China as possible. After ‘Lightning McQueen’s’ and ‘Jackson Storm’s’ epic battles in round one, I expect another thrilling performance from Craft-Bamboo Racing.”
