Junior Craft-Bamboo Racing driver, Matt Solomon, has touched down in Singapore to give fans a spectacular demonstration of the team’s SEAT Leon which will be used to help promote the TCR International Series and TCR Asia Series as the official Formula One support race. The special display will be held on Saturday and Sunday during the ‘Light Up The Night Carnival’ which will give the people of Singapore and fans from around the world a weekend of automotive entertainment. The display by Craft-Bamboo Racing, who are currently leading the drivers’ championship is an incredible opportunity for the team to help endorse the highly competitive touring car series.
Young Hong Kong driver, Solomon, will be piloting the Craft-Bamboo Racing #99 SEAT Leon which was driven by Craft-Bamboo Racing driver, Frank Yu, in Sepang at the start of the season. Solomon will be providing an exciting demonstration of the vehicle to capture the attention of the audience. The SEAT Leon will feature an updated livery as Craft-Bamboo Racing welcomes long time sponsor, Interush, to the TCR International Series for the special street race in Singapore.
Team Craft-Bamboo Lukoil driver, Pepe Oriola, is currently leading the drivers’ championship while his two teammates are following closely behind in the standings. They are now only 14 points shy of first place in the teams’ championship and the trio of drivers will be focused on taking the lead in both when the series hits the Marina Bay Street Circuit. The TCR Asia series will also be joining the grid with Hong Kong and Craft-bamboo Racing driver, Frank Yu, once again hopping in the #99 SEAT Leon in the hopes of scoring more world championship points. The races will be held on the 19th and 20th of September and are shaping up to be the most exciting and anticipated events of the season.
The Carnival is open to members of the public and will be held at the F1 Pit Building along Republic Boulevard from 1pm to 9pm. Motorsport enthusiasts can enjoy a variety of different activities, while witnessing exhilarating displays of driving from Solomon as well as other performances which are scheduled over the weekend.
