Craft-Bamboo Racing, an Official Performance Team of Mercedes-AMG, is proud to announce the latest signing of Daniel Au and Melvin Moh. The Singaporean-Malaysian pair will be contesting the popular Pro-Am class, sharing the driving seat of the pink, black and white #55 Mercedes-AMG GT3.
After making his racing debut in the GT4 class as part of the 2018 Blancpain GT Series Asia championship, Daniel Au makes the step up to top-level GT3 machinery with Craft-Bamboo Racing for 2019. The Singaporean GT driver has labelled his inagural GT3 season as a learning year, with an aim to adapting to the faster and higher downforce cars. Craft-Bamboo Racing will play a critical role in this process, designing a focused program on driver development, which includes official AMG Academy driving instructor, Melvin Moh.
Moh is a widely experienced Malaysian single seater and GT race car driver, having cut his teeth in junior formula cars and then into sports cars, scoring podiums at the famous Dubai 24 Hour and at the 2016 Sepang 12 Hours. The 30 year-old most recently completed a successful campaign in the 2018 Super Taikyu series in Japan, scoring 3 podiums in the top GT3 class on his way to 4th overall in the championship. Alongside his active motorsport involvement, Moh has been an instructor with the AMG Driving Academy for 6 years, and will be working alongside Au to fast-track his development in the Mercedes-AMG GT3.
This addition brings Craft-Bamboo Racing’s car count to 4, with 3 GT3’s and 1 GT4 entry in the 2019 Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia championship, marking the team’s biggest ever line-up in the series. Action kicks off next week in Sepang, Malaysia, with live streams available on the Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia and Craft-Bamboo Racing social media channels.

Daniel Au | Driver #55 Mercedes-AMG GT3
“Really excited to join Craft-Bamboo Racing and Mercedes-AMG despite being an AMG rookie. It’s going to be a great experience as Craft-Bamboo Racing has a lot of experience and the guidance will be very valuable. I’m really looking forward to working with the team after having met them at the pre-season test. My teammate, Melvin, an AMG Driving Academy instructor, will also teach me a lot throughout the season. It’s going to be a tough but exciting year, and I’m looking forward to getting it underway!

Darryl O’Young | Director of Craft-Bamboo Racing
“We are really pleased to confirm Daniel Au and Melvin Moh in the third GT3 entry for the team in the Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia. Daniel will have a steep learning curve this year moving from GT4 to the GT3 class, but he will be in good hands working with AMG Driving Academy instructor Melvin, whom has been an AMG instructor for 6 years. The clear aim is on developing Daniel's speed and consistency, so it will be a key focus point on the campaign this season.”
